Maybe 100 was a little strong but close.... an 80 wide/braid/bent butt, drag on full kill screwed down as tight as you can go w/ a dead bait trolling speed of 6.5 or so knots. 16 and 24...

It is easy. Jumbo paperclips are even better than #64's. I posted a question on high-end planer rods earlier and got my answer. I will never use one again and will stick with the scupper/stern cleat...

If you only need 35 to get your score up, why not just get a personal note from a banker for 35k using the equity as collateral. Pay off the bad stuff, raise your score then refi for your 15/30...

If you are rigging a big one the old fashioned and slow way i.e. bridled, etc. I strongly, strongly suggest juicing...

If you can't hook it dropping back, try the opposite. Find the next bait she's on, pop it out of the pin, and crank it like crazy. More often than not if she thinks the bait is trying to get away...
