They are not difficult to make. Get the Navico pigtail, and Garmin 8 pin to 6 pin adapter. Cut the 6 pin connector off and wire it up. I used solider with shrink wrap.

I've used both. The Simrad is a better looking unit (best out there in my opinion), I prefer the interface on the Simrad with the knob, and if you are getting radar the Simrad supports more radar...

The NSS never got the big boy radar features, only the NSE and the NSS Evo2 got them. Probably the NSO as well. I had an NSS12 and wanted dual range radar very much.
