Eventually the screens will fail. They are not repairable, that I am aware of. These are the direct replacement for those, plug and play so to speak....

Those are usually pretty good that way. They are not hard to replace. Just keep the bolt from turning and do one at a time so you don't break the caulk seal against the transom.
