My dealer called back, it looks like they are available. I talked to the owner this time and was quoted less for a 115 or 140B than an A motor. I'm wondering if there's some room to move in the A...

Unfortunately I can't get away with a garage extension. I think I'm going to do an extended transom/ bottom extension/ flotation bracket that I can glue and bolt on once the boat is out of the garage.

Unfortunately a 20 footer requires boat yoga to work on it in my garage and is all that can fit. A 24' Tolman jumbo or 26' Great Alaskan was what I wanted, a 20' widebody is what fits my garage/...

I don't think I've ever seen anything bigger than a 30hp Tohatsu on a boat up here so parts probably aren't plentiful either. He's also the Evinrude dealer and my current boat has an Evinrude. Next...

Any other opinions/ experience with these motors? Mercury doesn't list a 115 Pro XS with command thrust though my local dealer lists it on their website so it might exist.

The Tohatsu is 392 pounds, I believe the local dealer only sells the smaller motors and I'd rather not do business with him if I can avoid it. If they are an amazing motor I might consider one. The...

I agree, originally I was thinking 40-50 gallon saddle tanks which would make a huge difference, 140-150 pounds should be easily eliminated by moving junk around or trim tabs. We have an 80 pound dog...

Thanks for the response. I agree a bottom mounted crossover pipe is a bad idea.

You can only fit around 60-68 gallons of fuel under the deck between the stringers with off the shelf tanks. I'm in...
