You can run a 6,000 BTU a/c with a Honda 1000i. And even an 8,000 BTU if you're not in Eco and spool up the fan first.
Here's how I know....

I'm not sure what it ultimately means, but it did have me scratching my head while I was powering my boat and wondering why my circuit tester showed an error while everything was operating properly.

I can approach my trailer at 90° heading upstream in a current. Then rest the bow against the guide pole and pivot the stern around so the boat lines up with the trailer - then just power her home....
