Still an issue. Not sure how it's getting either. They said they added sealant to screws in the deck but I still get water without rain. I just drain them and leave them out when it's on the trailer.

Either do the extra Batt close to the windlass or leave it as is. As has been stated, the wire is protected by the fusing so you're not going to start a fire but you're going to pop fuses / breakers...
