Re: Do you ever think about how slow you have to go?

Re: Do easteners troll large live baits like westerners?

I would get a roffers shot, look for blue water in 100-1500 fms and work it hard with bigger...

Re: Do easteners troll large live baits like westerners?

The Ocean City Maryland guys always joke that the Cape May NJ guys pull nothing but Jersey Ballyhoos......aka the Green Machine.

Like I said, our fishery is a lot different. The guys that fish...

Re: Do easteners troll large live baits like westerners?

Re: Do easteners troll large live baits like westerners?

I think the consistent availablity of bait is a problem as well. Sometimes we see skippies but lots of times they are not there.

Re: Do you ever think about how slow you have to go?

You just explained the difference between a good captain and a bad captain. ;)

I always remember to put the landing gear down. ;)

Trolling valves solve the problem with inboards.

Re: Do easteners troll large live baits like westerners?

200# is a huge yellowfin in the Mid Atlantic. Right now the night chunk is producing mainly 60-80# fish. Not very many people troll skippies.

The big bluefins used to be a chunk bite in the...

Re: 70 Bertram convertible

The newer Bertrams are poorly done. What a shame for a great old name. Viking can't even see them in the rearview as they are so far back.

Re: Enlighten Me

Fred has contibuted more FREE information on more boards than anyone I know. If you are a disgruntled competitor, you need to go back to business school.

Re: Inboard diesel CC or a twin outboard gas CC?

The diesel will be MUCH more efficient and will last 5x as long. There goes the repower cost argument.

SeeVee make some very nice CC boats with inboard diesl power. They burn 50% less fuel and...

Re: Gotta Love the Draggers

If any of you read the Big Game Fishing Journal, Len Belcaro did an editorial. The squidders and draggers "sweep the corners" to get to whatever water they want. If you happen to be in the way, oh...
