The only Grunden's Bibs I can find online for less than $75 are the Clipper 116 model ($53), which is nothing like the Hercules 16 ;?

All the Hercules 16 Bibs are $74-$85.

If you can go up to $1k, I'd say Si-Tex CVS-832 LCD or Furuno 582L. Shop around, and you can get both for around or under $1K.

If you want color and still want a great unit for considerably less,...

I do the same, just use a can of silicone spray at the ramp once or twice a year. Do it wheny ou come in, so the carpet is dry and absorbs it. Rather do that than have the hard plastic strips.

Dents in hulls are very common. Most of you have never seen them because most boats have bottom paint.

I have seen several cases of thick hulls that have roller indents. These were white boats...

I've mixed non and semi synthetic with synthetic before with no issues. Remember, 2-strokes burn it off, it doesn't stay in the motor anyway.
