Not sure I would use 5200 for too much on a boat specially if you need to replace something like a sending unit. If it ever has a problem you will have a real hard time taking it off again.

I seem to remember Honda's (cars) having problems with rodents liking the taste of the insulation on the wires. They have a rodent deterrent electrical tape they sell to re-wrap the wires Honda part...
