Replied to your PM, I just searched through some old pictures and it appears the AV plate was about even with the hull bottom before I raised it. Hope that helps.

I raised my motor one hole and gained rpm's and 3-4 mph using the same prop, it's still a little low but She runs fine where it's at. So imo it's worth it and your's is too low.

Just to maybe give you some idea, I had the tank replaced in my 22 seapro this year and it was just over $5K, tank itself was fabricated in Jax and cost $1400.
