for the spike, either #10 or #12 MALIN (BRAND NAME) wire. you can get a 1/4 pound for about $10 outta basspro...

the previous owner of my dusky installed 3" pvc pipe for drains. and for flapper he had 3" exhaust flappers.

95% of the time your feet stay dry, but if the flapper gets stuck in the open...

we used a HORIZON LH5 on the tugs, its a older unit(but still in production). works great. we even have them on the stern decks(constantly in the salty spray) so its proven its a great unit.

I tell my guys its not how much, but the thought. they always get pissy, but i remind them its more than thet woke up with.

the new guys(less than 6 mos) get $100 and usually a company t shirt...

I was runing the tug that was with the dredge a few weeks back, all we managed were sailcats, croakers, and biter sharks. Im glad to see there is something else in the inlet.

well, i go several different routes.

late spring/early fall i use insulated carhart bibs and a float coat

once e start getting frost and the water is 60 or less, i keep my mustang suit on...

ben, ive got both of mine on the top of the console, their garmin 2006 units, but that dont matter. pretty much side by side so there both easy to see. also both are plotter and have the sounder...

I got a 72" x 48" Canyon fish bag for less than $100.

check your fuel lines also. it could be a pinched/slightly obstruted fuel line. Ive had mine do that several times when I first got my proline, drove me and my mechinic nuts. we eventualy found it...

i looked into going into maritime acads. but the cost was stagering.

cal maritime was the least expensive at about 12K per year and mass maritime(MMA) was the most expensive, about 50k per year...
