I haven't pulled the back apart yet but I believe that's the design. Part of me hopes I can just tighten something down vs. replacing a couple of motors.

Garmin sonar horrible

Well I finally got my boat out to fish for bottom fish in the deep water and both of my Garmin 8612XSV unit's couldn't find bottom in light seas in 500 feet of water.

In case anyone else searches this it would appear as if the two screws are extra...maybe in case you drop one of them when removing the cover. As for the Oring...must just be that the kit fits...
