I really don't think that round tunnel shape versus rectangular is a big deal as long as the layup, deck sandwich layup and what's anchored to the the deck that acts as a strong back when they cross...

I think you're making a good point about top size/tower options as drag is a much larger factor on these 60 mph cats as opposed to what I am used to on 40 mph hulls. I personally prefer more shade...

This one is a lot different with its wide tunnel/narrow sponsons that will pound less under lighter loads with less...
