OK. We agree. When COG and heading of boat is different then radar overlay will be inaccurate on chartplotter display. Heading Sensor fixes this.

I ordered my boat with the Fantom 18 specifically for this reason. It's the high-traffic areas close to shore and in the bays that I'm concerned about. Not so much when I'm 5-15 miles out at sea.
