I use 4wd every time I put my boat in and pull it out. 4wd low pulling it out. My boat is pretty heavy at 12,500 lbs. My opinion is that 4wd lowers the risk of having issues.

So much better than having the electronics in a hole. I added the autopilot, radar, and a new Radio this year. Bouhht the Garmin 840XS units last year when they were on close out.
