A deep cycle will slowly go dead as you use it. The more, the faster the quicker they deplete. A lithium battery doesn't slowly deplete. They run and hit the wall, dead. No slow depletion. HOWEVER...

I believe loaded magazines are the same as a loaded gun in the unfriendly state of NJ. I know this is the case with pistols not positive about an AR but would assume the same to be safe side.

If the law does not require a life jacket on that individual, you are 100% liable for your wake. My buddy was swamped by a cruisers wake in the ICW. Jury found the cruiser guilty.

Update, used my new MK I-pilot today. This thing is the shiz. Sat still and didn't move for 3 hours. Used jog feature just for the hell of it.. Works as advertised. Very pleased with it.

I would slide a piece of PVC over each rod full width. From the shank out maybe 10 inches on each side, or as wide as will fir in the locker.. Remove them when you deploy the anchor.
