I use 400 lb LP Primeline mono. It appears to be pretty high quality and is an affordable product. It uses the 2.2mm diamond silver sleeve crimps.

It took me a bit to conceptualize your setup, but I agree with the logic and side by side. Having the furthest out halyard line (long) on top of the closer in halyard (short) is important.
