Sometimes it works if I prime it from the fish box or the livewell. I have been unsuccessful in priming it from the thru hull.

On my 28, there is one macerator that drains the front fish box, the two rear fish boxes, and the live well. I recently installed a new impeller kit and the macerator worked only a few times before...
