How young?

Problem with kids is they keep growing, so sizing can be tough. When my oldest daughter was certified, I wanted her to learn in her own gear, so she'd be quite familiar with it. Likewise, I also didn't want to buy a new BCD in a few years.

There are a few companies that offer BCDs for kids. I looked, but pretty quickly decided that the Zeagle looked the best of them, which worked well for me as I dive a Zeagle as well. It was also back inflate, which I prefer greatly over jacket style. Finally, it was the only one that could grow with the kid. The Ranger Jr (like many other Zeagle BCDs) offered Personal Fit Sizing. This allows sections to be changed out as needed. Waist, Chest, and torso length can be sized separately, and re-sized as needed.

I had to swap a section when I bought my Zeagle Stiletto. I needed a medium waist with large shoulder section. In the end, I didn't get the Ranger Jr. for her. She was big enough that should could fit in an adult small, so I got her a Zeagle Lazer, which is the discontinued female version of the Stiletto.

I'll likely have to do this again in a year or so as daughter number two is getting old enough. Unless another company has a better option, she'll likely dive with another Zeagle.

Thanks for the reply, I found her a oceanic explorer. When she is a litter bigger I'll get the zeagle or seasoft. I have a zeqgle and am happy with it.
