Default Lobster spearing & free diving video from Bimini last weekend

Hi all,

Mounted a gopro on a sling to see how the shots would look. I put this vid together, would love comments, feedback etc! I am very new to making videos but did enjoy the process!

Other than being a little unstable in a few spots the image quality is crystal clear. Shockingly clear in the beginning. Maybe brighten it up 10% or so overall. Looks like a blast. Thanks for posting.

Good video, especially considering it was done with a go-pro. However call me old fashion but just not a fan of shooting lobster. On another note looks like the divers there are doing a decent of keeping the lion fish population down.

Although it may be legal in the Bahamas, I don't agree with shooting lobsters either....kind of hard to release the shorts and females with eggs.

Great video, how do you know if lobsters are legal size? I have only used a net and tickle stick and judging size I have needed to release a few shorts. Or is there no size limit where you were?

Default Same here

How do you know a short / female holding eggs, if you pole spear? Get a net & stick. It's harder, yes, but manages the population better. Don't take shorts...

Hey guys thanks for watching the vid and commenting. I agree with your netting philosophy, and living in fort lauderdale, that is what we are accustomed to doing. However, it is really awesome to leave the nets behind and just shoot a lobster in the face every now and then. Its way quicker, more fun and you can even shoot multiple lobster with one spear to create a lobster shish-ka-bob. Transfers to the grill nicely

Perfectly legal in the Bahamas, as long as your not on scuba. Even with a tickle stick and a net you would have easily got your limit. Good job on the bugs
