Default The "hows" and "whys" of the Weeki Wachee Springs cave exploration project

A short video on the ongoing Weeki Wachee Springs cave exploration in Florida that hopefully helps to provide insight into the "hows" and "whys" of this project. This cave system is the second deepest in North America and is absolutely breath-taking! Moreover, it's a cave that takes quite a bit of effort and teamwork to explore and document...

Cheers,
Mike

Wow. That's incredible. I had no idea the Weeki Wachee system was so fast.

Awesome footage.

NFW....only good thing about that cave is the high flow will help spit you out. Only cave/cavern I will do is Blue Springs and it's more of a "hockey stick" shape with a super high flow at the bottom. Basically goes straight down a 6' wide shaft to 85' and then you hit the hockey stick bend and go down to the boil.....no trying to fit through small spaces, getting lost or silted up. Relatively safe, but enough of the cave experience for me to know it's not for me.
