Arrow T-Tops & Towers!

We have been busy spraying many T-Tops & Towers lately both in white with the new XS-650 and in Black Line-X Premium. Here are a few pictures of some recent work.
Andros 32 with complete Line-X in black including the rodholders.

Brian, the T-tops look great. Any developments on a smooth, powerdcoat like, surface? I'm really interested in getting you to spray my aluminum, but would prefer not to have a rough finish.

Thanks

What's the timetable before you have the black in the XS-650 in a smooth powder coat like finish?

I can use the XS-430 and Line-X Premium in black to do the same. The 650 is really for white, whisper grey, ice blue applications. The 650 and 430 has a slower 13 second gel time instead of the 3-6 second time of our other chemicals. This allows us to reduce the self texturing that happens during the application. Granted the smooth finish results will vary with different size applications.

I Gotya so it is possible? Is the whisper grey the color of the yellowfin tower? Guessing no, do you have a picture of what it looks like sprayed on fiberglass? XS-650

Smooth all depends on what we are spraying. Here is a storage box on a maverick we did. You would not know this is not gel coat!

Wow that's pretty impressive work! The uses for this product seem endless.

How does Line-x differ from say Rhino?

Thinking I will insist on line x on the new boat. Have you worked with the yellowfin factory yet on spraying new tops?

Do you happen to know what the cost comparison is vs. powder coating?

(I know the line-x will last longer, just looking for a comparison number)

We are very close to the same as a good powder coating job. But a good powder coat job consist of sandblast, wash/primer & two coats of melting in powder. powder coating like Line-X can vary greatly and cost is reflected. Some powder coating shop charge crazy low because they simply bake your part with a single coat job that will last 3 months. This is why powder coating got a bad reputation...
Today in the shop we have a ton of misc stuff from a Suzuki RMZ450 frame to trim tabs to casting platforms and rod holders! Here is a after sandblast and wash picture..

Is the FCP primer (yellowish) different property/spec wise than the primer you sprayed on the previous posted aluminum products (reddish)
