Does the t top /aluminum need to be disassembled and removed from the boat or can you Line X it in place?

Yes as we require a sandblast , acid wash, and encapsulation with out primer prior to the Line-X .

I really love Brian's pipework. Do not ever powdercoat it does not hold up. This is the way to go for sure hands down.

Hi Brian, I believe we met many years ago at MIBS when you were first getting started with the marine stuff.

I have a T-Top that was probably made in 1992 and the anodization is shot. Structure is solid. Does your prep process remove all of the salt and corrosion, or is there still some embedded in the aluminum? I'm basically wondering whether to scrap the top and have a new one built (possibly not anodized and have you coat it) or if this one can be rehabilitated.

If rehabilitating/line-xing this one, what are the chances it still has some salt in there that corrodes under the coating?

How would I handle a pipe repair, should I crack a weld and need to re-weld it?

Thanks! The product looks great

Awesome that was me. Check out this video for a before and after on a used Everglades top. I have many friends whom build towers so if you need anything added or made stronger that is not a problem. The corrosion gets blasted away at sandblast. We then wash them prior to primer. Feel free to send me some pics to either my cell or email.

Default Warranty and Line X

Does anyone know what the warranty is for LineX on the pipe work of a T top?

I try to support our work for the long haul. T Top issues that happen are usually just a chip or ding which is easy repaired by you with our repair kit. Installation is key as we are battling saltwater and the attachment points are crucial for longevity. Installation best practice involves using a shoulder washer and a sealant like 4000/5200 to protect the coating and separate the stainless hardware from the aluminum. I have many repeat customers from charter guys who are using their boats every day. I have the new top for Captain Colin Byrd from the Mexican gulf out of Venice, la. He put 30,000 miles on his 37 last year with our stuff on it! We are using the best practices possible to battle corrosion including conversion washes and anti-corrosive primers under the Line-X Ultra. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss further. Thanks in advance - Brian
