What model external antenna would I need for the Furuno gp1870f?

Is there a furuno to lowrance adapter for a lowrance antenna?

Thanks

So the gcv10s only benefit to the 1040xs is side-vu? No other enhancement to sonar?

Alot of dough for just side-vu. Almost wish the 1040 did not come with down-vu to give me more reason to buy the gcv10.

The GCV10 had both DownVu and SideVu..and includes the transducer.
Fro $529 that is not a bad price...and it allows one to use the CHIRP sonar at the same time.

Default Thank you Mr. Gil

I just ordered a new Garmin 840XS with the GVC 10 and Radar from Mr. Gil Travis. This man was kind enough to take his time to discuss all the options I needed based upon my type of fishing. I cannot impress strongly enough how knowledgeable he is about the Garmin systems and making sure my needs were met. THANK YOU MR. GIL TRAVIS!

I own an Everglades 243cc and fish bays, offshore, and passes. Structure was important to me. I went with
the all in one for Chirp and the box for down Vu and side.

Now I'm all messed up. Does the transducer that comes with the 1040xs have the CHIRP built in? I'm looking at it now but it doesnt say it anywhere, just says its HD-ID and DownVu.

What are the differences between the 820xs and the 840xs?

No the transducer that can come with the 1040 xs is not chirp. It is down-vue, which despite what some publications call chirp, is not true chirp. Can do side vue with GCV10. And pulse. Manufacturer's are blurring the meaning between pulse and chirp to the point it is difficult to tell difference.

The difference between 820 and 840 I believe is the maps it comes with. 840 has coastal or lake maps built in.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Then the next question is which transducers are CHIRP enabled and are compatible with the 840/1040?
Would a GCV10 resolve this?
