Default 225 Optimax 25" shaft good running about 800 hours and lots more for sale

I have my starboard motor that had 782 hours on it when it got serviced 5/7. The port engine locked up on my last week due to an oil pump failure.

The starboard engine is standard rotation, SEI lower unit that has had zero issues. Motor just had all new filters installed, new impeller kit, lower unit oil, and checked. I am asking $2,800 for that one. I do have a single control box that I can sell with it, plus all gauges and shift cables, which are the good blue ones. Trim/tilt is flawless with no leaks. I believe it is a 2001 engine with upgraded injectors.

The port engine is locked up. It is the counter rotating which I bought the lower about a year and a half ago from SEI and it is still under warranty. I am selling the counter separately from the engine. The engine was just serviced on 5/7 and I was told when I bought this one it was rebuilt, but I am thinking that was a lie, and it had about 1800 hours on it. Everything works on it except the block and the pistons are melted together. This just happened on 8/11, literally the day before my birthday. It got all new filters, new impeller, new lower unit oil. I would like to get $500 for it and $800 for the lower unit. I believe it is a 1999 with all upgraded injectors.

I also have a spare cowling with lower cowlings to sell. I also have the correct Mercury black paint to paint the engines that I would like out of my garage. I also have a bunch of parts for a 1998 Mercury opti 225 including fuel rails, injectors, air injectors, oil tank, bolts, nuts, wiring harness, ecu, and I am sure I am missing some things. Whatever I could unbolt from the block came off that was not seized. There is no alternator, oil pump, or air compressor.

I am going to repower the boat so I will be keeping the battery cables and steering. Everything else I want to get rid of. Make me an offer on all of it if you want it all. It is a nice collection of Optimax parts.

I am located in St. Petersburg and the engines are still on the boat. I can run the starboard engine for you and have an engine hoist to remove them and will remove them.

The photo is me running in on one motor last Monday.

I ONLY run non-ethanol fuel through these and the Premium Plus Mercury oil that is green.

Sorry I haven't replied. I found a standard rotation to match this one but it came with a second good powerhead.

Id sell the good powerhead with the midsection and siezed powerhead with a lower unit and all the spare parts I have for it for 2,000. The siezed powerhead was supposedly rebuilt and all the parts are less than 3 years old on it.
