Default 2007 df 225 oil “blow-by”

I am noticing a good amount of oil pooled around the silencer and throttle bodies. I’m assuming this is a result of some blow by. If it is, is there anything I can do about it or I should look at? The motor runs terrific and I get no warnings. Also, oil on the dip stick and pooled looks clean. Any advice would be great.

Is the oil level high? if so the motor will do that. Also have you tried doing a compression check and leak down test?

I don’t believe the level is high. When checked it marks between the marks on the dip stick. I will see about a compression and leak down. Assuming they check out is there a danger to the motor? Or something that can be addressed?

Compression tested with all between 150-155. Only one cylinder tested at 145. The test was done cold. Have not done a leak down, will need to get a leak down guage.

Was the throttle left wide open during compression test?

No it was not. Should it have been?

I am not sure what it means, but just changed the oil on my 06 200's and they have a little of the same.

Your numbers are leaning towards two stroke compression....

Yes, throttle butterflies have to be open for the test

Got it. Kinda heard back and forth as to whether or not the throttle was supposed to be opened. Think the compression range I have is within spec but will double check the manual to be sure.

If you warm up the motor and open the throttles, numbers should increase somewhat

145-155 is on the lowest end of the spectrum. At least numbers are rather even across all 6
