Lots of motors are on back order right now, 60's being 1 of them. I do not have any in stock, sorry.

How do I get a formal quote and deposit in for a re-power. I am looking for a white 250 25 inch shaft mechanical or electronic. I spoke to Trent a few weeks ago and want to move forward. Any idea on availability?

None in stock currently but they are on order, Suzuki is back ordered on pretty much all models so best is to get a contract with deposit at a dealer so you'll get allocated one once they arrive. We currently have over 200 motors on back order of different sizes, almost half are sold already but the others can be allocated as first come first serve. Dealers that do not have back orders already will be placing a new order and they are at the back of the line, each day the wait gets longer and longer FYI.

I bet ya the Boat OEM's are getting their share before those of us needing to re-power... This is becoming a nightmare - I just can't see a container ship not having thousands of motors on board for delivery to the U.S. from Japan...

Fair, but Frustrating.

If it is any consolation to you, I sell vehicles, and they are crazily hard to get also. But I also played the waiting game in 2017. June 8th-August 18th for my boat.

So?

Put the OFFICIAL statement out so the public guessing is over.......

It's SUZUKI'S FAULT until that Statement hits the press - PERIOD- ............

New Orleans is also a port used by Suzuki...

I donít think you ordered your new motor from Outboard Specialties. Why keep bitching on their threads? Not
their fault.
Youíre making yourself miserable, hope you donít have any problems with it.
Itís going to be great.

All suzuki outboards come into the port of long beach or LA from Japan and then get trained or trucked to the 2 main warehouses(LA and Atlanta). New Orleans may be used for export to the Caribbean but doesn't make sense to ship from Japan to New Orleans through the canal.
I do not know of any company putting out statements as to how long back logs are taking whether its the marine industry, housing, automotive, technology etc.... Unfortunately know one really knows because their at the mercy of many other obstacles and logistics so putting out statements that only guessing is not the right thing to do.
I do not speak for Suzuki on this matter, just my opinion from what I see.
