Default 2007 Suzuki 300 not trimming down

I have a 2007 Suzuki 300 outboard that I’m having trouble trimming down. It’s currently stuck in the up position. When I trim down I can hear the motor running but nothing happens. I tried adding trim fluid to the fluid refil and still nothing. Do you think I have a bad motor ? Or maybe a leak ? Any help is appreciated.

If you hear the trim motor running then i would think the relay and motor should be good. If the motor is stuck all the way up then maybe the tilt bracket is down preventing the down movement or possibly the motor is bound up. Make sure the tilt lever is not deployed and then loosen the Manuel release screw on the side of engine bracket with a big flat head screwdriver(be careful, the motor will start falling down). Once its down see if it will trim up and down again.

so after adding some fluid in and working the trim tilt switch for quiet some time. The tilt lever was not engaged. I put some pressure on the engine while trimming down and it broke loose and finally went down. However now when I go up and down there’s a loud shreek noise when I go up and down. Some threads said there may be air in the system and if you bleed the air out of the system it will stop. The other issue is the starboard motor trims up much slower than the port engine. Thanks for your thoughts
