Default df250 WOT ISSUE

2019 df250 originally had a 30” shaft on a 24’ cobia 224 CC WOT was 44 mps at 5800 rpms installed a 25” shaft lower and now my WOT is about the same speed but will only hit 5400 rpms prop is a 15x19 3 blade turning point propeller

Why did you install a longer leg???

If you didnt lift the engine then it is now set far too deep. Easy to lose lots of revs that way.

30” shaft was to long for boat it was mounted e way up put a 25” on and lowered it

Ok well you may have lowered it too far.

On a good weather day/smooth water, get her up to a good cruise speed and trim out to get optimum speed.

Look over the back and see where the anti-vent plate is. This plate should be skimming the surface, if its under water in the flow, the engine is set too low and should be lifted.

I agree check engine height first then figure out a prop. You should be able to spin the 15x19. The zukes like to run the 16" diameter props, I would have used a 16x17 or 16x18.5 to start.
