Default 2020 Suzuki 300 "notchy, non-linear" throttle

I bought a new boat with a 2020 Suzuki 300 with electronic controls. The throttle seems very notchy, as in, not very linear. As I move the throttle up, it kind of jumps instead of smoothly increasing rpms. The dealer changed the original new motor (Suzuki 300 that went on a different boat) before the boat was sold to me. I'm wondering if they needed to calibrate the throttle again when the motor was changed? Any ideas? The dealer is out of state and completely useless and unhelpful. I also noticed on the Suzuki multi-function screen, that there is a space for the motor serial number and it is blank. Thanks

If the motor was changed then yes it needed to be recalibrated with the suzuki software so it is set up properly with the controls and boat control module. You can add the serial number in the gauge if you like through the initial settings options, this will have nothing to do with the throttle though.
