Default 17 300 cutting off at idle speed with overheat warning

hello. I have triple 300 motors with 400 hours on them. I was experiencing problems with the motors cutting off at idle speed with an overheat warning. Just had the dealer change the water pumps and the lower unit oil and the impellers were showing some wear. We thought the problem was corrected but I am experiencing the same problem again. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

You need to check the t-stats and poppet valves as well, plus the water pump housings might be warped and need changed or trued up. The plastic housings will sometimes not sit fully down on the plate and allow air in at low rpms causing the overheat.
