Default 300hr service

Posted a question in the general forum and have read a bunch of posts. Hoping to get some clarity from you. In the owners manual of a 2018 300ap it says to check valves at 300hours. Can you define checking valves and PM me a price to do it? I dont see much on here or anywhere on the web about actually having it done or repercussions from not doing it. I am comfortable doing the rest of the necessary maintenance, just not comfortable with the valve inspection. Also, I dont want a random, doesn't really know the motor, tech performing a task that may cause more problems from shotty work than from just not having them checked.

Thank you!!

By the book according to suzuki you should check them.
I can say that we rarely check valves and never see problems with motors because of it though. So I cannot tell you not to check them but most people don't.
