Default Stellwagon, who's going for groundfish and when?

Its been a long winter and we all want out, who plans on making the run sooner than later? I've just gone through the boat for the season, putting all new hubs on the trailer and throwing on a coat of wax and I'm good to go. Probably head out of Green harbor depending on tides, I know the last few years have been a little sketchy early season. Whats everyone thinking?

I don’t think you’ll be alone.
I was fishing state waters on Sunday. I saw at least 6 sport boats heading to the Bank.
Not really much to do out there right now except steal haddock.
Im sure environmental cops will be sniffing around.
wait till it’s open. Isn’t worth it for a few haddock.

I think we're all on the same page (15th), I don't think many rec anglers are gonna risk it for a few haddock. As far as boats on the bamk already, Maybe its just a bunch of charter guys honing in on some numbers for opening day? Lol yeah. Lets go with that...

We'll go out of GH at least one day next week. Whatever day has the best weather. Feel free to PM me if anyone wants to buddy up.

Looks like rain for Monday... Days like that I'm glad I have an express model. I'll be out if the sea is calm. Fingers crossed.

I believe the charter/headboat guys are targeting reds with the occasional pollock until the 15th. Any operator with a brain would know not to flout the reds, given on water/land enforcement and solcial media inclined clients.

PS I’m an operator. :-)

I’m with you, man. Stellwagon and mackeral drive me nuts. And then I download the Navionics app and what do I see?

As far as the original topic, launching next Friday and hoping to hit the NWC on the first calm day (seas 2’ and under for me).
