Yup. No brainer. One commercial boat, one good haul = all the rec boats combined for a month.

Anyone been out yesterday or today, or looking to go tomorrow? I'm looking at tomorrow, and checking forecast and swell. I've been bit by the fading NW'r before, when it doesn't fade out quickly enough, and sounds like there is a bit of a ground swell running. Any thoughts on conditions?

I’m goin’
its a funny forecast though. 5-10 with seas 3-5ft hmm.
my best guess is that it will be a decent day.
or wait till Thursday.
I never make a definite call until the morning of!
They’ve been ok so far this season. But you can never trust a forecast.
I went out Sunday with rain forecast all day. One of the nicest days of the season so far. No rain,no wind.

I don’t mind at all when they’re wrong in YOUR favor but it’s a very rare occurrence.

And I had written Sunday off b/c of the forecast! Glad you got it.

My sense is tomorrow will be ok, but agree, you never know until the day of. I am particularly skeptical of forecasts with any N in the wind.

I think the swell is b/c of this image, which I'll take over a wind wave.

There was a very solid swell off Nauset beach this afternoon at 4pm. Watched it from land.

I bailed. We would not have been able to get out before late morning, right when the wind was forecast to peak. North Coast, anyone, make it out today? Curious what actual conditions were.

A buddy went on a head boat out of NH Thursday, he got 5, yes five haddock, biggest 19" and 6 market size throwback cod. Not a very good day for the HB fleet....
