Usually mid april to early may. Depends on the weather and how crappy it has been. That cut is real tight, i stopped running it when the markers are out.

I tried running that last April after repowering, with no bouys in yet. I was biting my nails the whole way through. Bumped bottom a couple of times even at high tide. If you’re in an outboard just go real slow..idle slow. I wouldn’t try it in anything else unless you really know that cut (which I didn’t)

It changes so much that I won’t trust the trails on my gps from last year. They’ll probably lead me over what is now a bar!!

usually in mid to late april, if you need to go west sooner do it at 1-2 hours before high tide, always on the flood

If you're coming all the way from Point Lookout it's not that much farther to go to Lindenhurst Cut. As for Amityville Cut, no problem running it yesterday on old lines (22 Outrage) late afternoon (close to high tide).
