Saw a huge Fountain express in my marina yesterday Had to be over 40 feet. What caught my eye were the four! 7's on the transom. Those engines cost more than my boat. ;0
Not a single rod holder. This was just a show boat. Wow. Didn't get a chance to take a picture, but I guess life is good at the top for some.......

He was idling in our fairway, which is right where the fuel dock is. Our marina gets used for a lot of launches of boats delivered off trailers. The travelift is at the end of our fairway. It looked like he may have just been launched and was going to fuel up. I was busy breaking knuckles and skin or I would have wandered up to check it out.

It's a 48EC but being a Fountain it's a "small" 48 footer

The one I saw had a dark blue hull and the engines were all black with no logos. They had the general shape of the 7 engine so that's why I said it had those. It's possible they were just custom painted mercs.

Interesting transom/stern lines on that. It almost looks like the bracket is movable. I don't see anything about the 48 on Fountain's website. Must be custom?

The capt running a 42MTI with quad 400's explained to me that his owner was required to have a captain on board. How long that requirement exists IDK. It was insurance so. He said he has seen 81 but during set-up they saw 87. No rodholders however the hull bottom is similar to the invincible with the reverse chine pocket on the bottom in the stern..
