Butler's Clam Shack in Port Washington if you get gas at Brewer's Marina, just grab a to-go basket while there.

Black Duck is not worth any trip

Hopefully Prime in Huntington has better service - they lock the docks and one guy had the key - took 30 minutes to find him one time and the food being served outside was meh.

Thanks for the insight. Any restaurants that you like that we can add to the list?

Be very careful with the tides for both Port Chester and Rowayton.

Can you access the bayville restaurants by boat?

Is prime in CT still open?

Huntington has tons of places you can eat at, Tutto and Prime are by the docks but a 5 minute cab drive into town and you have a ton.

I think in Glen Cove there is one on the water also but i forget the name.

The clam bar at Bridge Marine is a nice casual outdoor restaurant (i.e. plastic tables and chairs under awning). They have docking space 50 ft off of the dock and a tender. You can walk to a shopping area but there is not much there. You can take a cab to some other restaurants and the Bayville Adventure park.

My review of prime: mediocre food at super expensive prices. Over 400 bucks for 4 for lunch with 1 round of drinks and the $50 docking fee (in the form of $150 charge, with $100 credit to food). I normally don't blink at that kind of pricing as I eat in Manhattan for work at some very pricey places, but my steak was not good. Somewhere below Smith & Wollensky grade and above Tad's Steaks.

I forgot about the docking fee and yes same $400 for 4 people for lunch. Place sucks.

Get drinks on the water at Prime, as the atmosphere on a nice summer day is worth the extra cost for drinks, and eat at Tutto Pazzo across the street. You may be able to apply drink charges to docking fee.

Who has the lowdown on city island? Lots of places to eat there...I just don’t know which are any good or what the docking situation is...?
