No, saving my time off for stripers and tuna. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Well today didn't go as planned. Got up nice and early and was down to the boat just before 530 am and the weather was looking good. It was low tide, and -0.8ft which doesnt help but when I got to the boat I noticed the stern was about a foot out of the water. I moved the boat to south port marina in South Portland and apparently the slip they put me in wasn't deep enough. The outdrive had sunk into the mud down to the cavitation plate. Luckily no damage was done (from what I can tell after running the boat).

So I wait about two hours with my blood pressure through the roof from anger and finally get out of the slip. Once I get out past Portland light its obvious that the marine forecast was wrong...shocker I know. What was supposed to be 1-3 ft was a solid 3-4 with a 4s period. I should have listened to myself but I went all the way out to Tantas. After about 30 to 40 min of attempting to hold bottom and failing I called it a day. Albemarle may suck on the drift but she is a tank going into waves.

I am out on the end of D dock and I was PISSED! Supposedly they are dredging today and it will be fixed soon, I moved my boat to another slip. Sounds like they need to do it yearly and no one said anything to me about it. I knew it was skinny in there at low tide but I figured my boat would at least float. Also not sure why they wait until boats are in the water.

Well stop by and say hi. Ive got the Proline express "Kaylee Marie". I knew that that side had issues but thats crazy. The sold that whole side too... I hope they dredge. Good people on that dock though.

I'll stop by if I see you. I have admired your boat a few times as I walk down the dock. I was wondering how you and some of the other 30+ ft boats were floating (maybe you weren't). I measured and literally had 1 ft of water at my slip at low tide. Sounds like that end is the biggest problem from the marsh.

That corner is tough. I have 2 ft under me at low. I draft 3.5'. A lot of boats on your side can't get out during low or near low. That would really suck

Well after they dredge I better be able to get out at all tides or I'll be demanding another slip or my money back. I was never told that I wouldn't be able to use my boat within 1-2 hours either side of low tide. I already have to plan trips around kids schedules, if I have to worry about tide too I'm screwed.

Im not really sure on the dredge. Ive honestly not really paid attention to that side as it hasnt effected me. There is a 31 SeaRay on that side that cannot get out around low tide. I hope they get it squared away for you though.

Plenty of fish around! Was double up on Haddock all day on Saturday, It was nice to see they had some size to them as well! Hopefully the wind dies down and Summer arrives....can’t wait for the Southern winds.

Tons of big cod and 17" to 24" haddock around yesterday. the occasional 10' swell breaking on top made it so the rod would jig itself from the rod holder!
