Default Need a good surveyor in NJ

I'm hoping one of you guys can point me to a good, reliable boat surveyor in NJ. I live in south Florida and am working on a deal for a contender with yamahas. Thanks in advance.

In that area, definitely John Spencer. He surveyed my boat when I bought it. I was very impressed.i don't think that he is a certified Yamaha tech, so you may want someone else for a more thorough engine survey. He will do the basics though.

Another one for Spencer. He did our 36. Took a full day. He really leaves no stone unturned.

I spoke to spencer and he said he is too far south for him and since the boat is only 30ft it wouldn't be worth the drive, which I can respect. I did find a guy that was highly recommended Reiner Van Der Herp. Thanks for all the help. Now where is a good place to grab a beer in Monmouth.

Pat Dender is local to the Port Monmouth area.

Like most surveyors I have dealt with in the past though, he will recommend you go to the engine specific techs if you want more then a basic engine survey.
