Is this a good time for steelhead in the Salmon river near Pulaski?

I would say so. Haven't gone in a couple seasons, but I would frequent the river most of the winter assuming the ice wasn't bad & the river flow wasn't too dangerous. April is always a good for a general rule of thumb to get on the river.

I hate these guys, but they do have a decent fishing report all year long: http://www.douglastonsalmonrun.com/Fishing-Report.aspx Looks like the river is raging @ 1750cfs! seems kinda high to me.

It's the right time of year - but I can't stand fishing that river. It's so crowded. It's like fishing on a party boat. If your in the position to go to a different area - you should try Erie PA. It's a totally different scene. About 5 years ago I fished with a guide named Don Matthews and it was my best steelhead experience to date. I'm not affiliated w/ their service in anyway - just a happy customer and tired of Salmon River. http://www.steelheadschool.com/
