No, however if you're concerned with navigating the Tauton River to get to Mt. Hope Bay you could use the Bicentennial Park boat ramp in Fall River off of Brownell Street and be right at the mouth of the Taunton River where it meets the Bay.

Used it a couple times this year and have launched there many times in the past. Nice docks and good ramp. Noticed this year that they have a warning sign telling you not to back too far in if launching/retrieving at low tide bc you can drop your rear trailer tires off the end of the paved area. I almost went off last time when hauling out. Glad to have a roller trailer when that happens. The only time I launch there is during the summer months bc the Fall River ramp, which is a very good ramp, gets busy and can only accommodate one trailer at a time. It'll tests your patience for sure. This time of year should be fine and much easier to get to from your location. Plus it's free. PM if any questions about any of the ramps in this area.

Sure brings back some great memories.. Many of trips out of there to Newport, RI. We even used to bring a 40' INTO the Taunton River at High tides to chase Bass and just enjoy that winding river which if you're with a local is a great trip. I'm sure you're heading OUT of the river.

Safe ramp. Well marked from that point just be sure to follow the markers and be advised of a dog-leg-left not very far up river in order to stay in the channel.(Will bring you towards the Golf Course on top of a giant hill) It's approximately a 1.5 miles out of the ramp heading towards Newport.

fall river is the honor system $5 and they are somewhat enforcing it now. Last week when I was there the harbor master was taking plate #s in the lot.

Also somerset is a little more protected. I've been at bicentennial with 1.5-2'ers blowing into the dock @45° angle at the end which makes things a bit more difficult.

There's also a new ramp under the Sakonnet River bridge in Tiverton. Unfortunately it's set up just like Fall River (1 lane and also very limited parking). Only about 10 or 15 minutes further than Fall River. Somerset's my choice of the 3. This time of year it's a really cool ride up the Taunton River if you're just out for a cruise. I've run all the way to the Weir Bridge & beyond in my 18 footer. There's at least 6 ft. of water at low tide when you get well up there. Some of the exposed rocks will creep you out but just stay in the center & you're good to go. Remember, they used to bring sailing ships and barges up there. Only have to be sure you can fit under the Berkeley bridge. We'll probably take our last ride of the year up that way.

I stand corrected. They just started the fee at the end of June. It would be worth it if they added another lane.
