Default Stolen Rowboat from Barnstable Harbor early am Sunday 7/28

Looking for some eyes to be on the lookout for a stolen rowboat. I sold a gentleman my rowboat last Sunday and he was not even able to have it for a full week before it was swiped. This boat is unique and should easily be identified. It has my commercial permit # PJT2314 branded into the fiberglass and the wooden gunwhale rails approximately 10x. It also has a star board motor pad, pitted chrome plated candles on transom and bow, and (2) bronze drains in the bottom. Black bottom paint, white hull, gray interior with PT rails. Also has some damage on starboard bow from rubbing against a dock.

The branding will be difficult to remove without noticeable scarring. Anyone that has seen sees this boat please let me know. New Owner is offering a reward.

Any chance you could post a full-sized picture?

I will keep my eyes open , I row around the three bays in Ost. Cotuit and Hyannis sometimes. I have a mooring in Barn and havn't checked my dink in two weeks so I better go have a look see. A bigger pic would help.

I will keep an eye out, I would also post on Craigs list to make it tough to sell. Is there a chance it might have gotten loose and gone with the tide? I checked mine and it is where I left it. I am about a quarter mile east of Millway.

Thanks ALL for the help, it is much appreciated by me and if recovered, the new owner. Funny thing is that I bought this boat about 6 or 7 years back to replace a stolen one, which is why I branded the heck out of it with my commercial #. This boat is highly identifiable and whomever stole it wasnt smart if they saw all the brandings and still decided to take it.

You can actually see (4) of the brandings in the pic: Just forward of the port side oar lock, starboard transom inside corner, and the dark lines on the port side of middle and rear seat is actually a branding too , although not too discernible in this pic.

The harbor really blew up last week during the NE blow, saw a number of dinghies that had come loose along sunset rd but not the one pictured. Good luck with the search.

Hello Everyone,
I’m writing to say that our boat mysteriously turned up at our beach after 3 weeks, minus the new oars. I wish it could talk. Our theory is that it was too hard to easily sell, especially with all the ID numbers all over it. I posted it all over craigslist and put up posters at every landing and some marina stores and the yacht club. I emailed photos to every harbormaster around Cape Cod Bay. So anyway, we have her back. Who knows why.
Thanks.
