Whats everyones thoughts on the 2013 Barnegat season... Safe to navigate through the markers early spring? Im in the north end.. That end has to be worse with debris.

I just asked a very similar question. Some of the responses to mine directly answer yours. http://www.thehulltruth.com/northeas...y-boaters.html

Also, I have a view of Barnegat Bay from my house, so I see it every day. For the first two months after the storm, I could see mulitple objects floating out there on the glass flat calm days. As soon as there were some ripples on the surface, thoseitems were hard to see. In the past few weeks, essentially since the bay froze over then opened back up again, I am not seeing any more floating debris. Today was a flat glass calm day and all I saw were ducks. That means either the floaters have now sunk, or they have found a place to wash up. Probably a combination of both.

Was wondering the same thing. I usually have my boat in by St. Pattys day but am thinking of pushing it back until mid april this year.

The north is definitely worst. That's where the majority of the damage and debris is located. Around IBSP, there was very little debris comparitively speaking that could be produced and blown into the bay.

Yes, the debris can and will move but I believe that from the Seaside Bridge south will be OK. North of the bridge is another story.

There are cars, boats and houses unaccounted for in the north area of the bay. Contracts have been awarded to remove debris.
