Default Turks and Caicos in April, Help

I posted this in the Florida/Georgia region hoping for some local knowledge without a response. Perhaps someone from the great Northeast has some insight to this area for us.

"Wife and I are visting TCI during the last week of April, Provodencials. I am looking for a couple of 1/2 days of bonefishing and barracuda, fly and spin. Also looking to do a couple of dives as a new scuba diver.

Other than that I would like to rent a skiff or small boat so we can do some DIY snorkeling and fishing.

I am looking for recomendations on guides outfitters or someone with local knowledge to point us in the right direction.

Any help provided is greatly appreciated."

Been there twice. I brought some light gear down with me for fishing. I was catching bone fish in a unfinished marina in Cooper jack hill. I would then live line the bonefish and throw it out off the point of the entrance to the marina and catch barracuda. The charters are very expensive, there is also a "lake" that is very shallow that holds bonefish. You can sight fish in it, very muddy so you will sink in it when walking. Good exercise. Supposed to have a fishing license but I never got one and never got asked for one. Check out trip advisor and ask about charters, then email and negotiate charter company. Enjoy the island, it's quiet and small. Very relaxing, go to the conch shack!

Turks is the best have a blast. been 4 times weather is always perfect.

Call Catch the Wave Charters. I've fished with them 3 times absolute the best. They do bone fishing trips and off shore. I only do off shore. For off shore book in advance and ask for Christian Baptista for a captain. If he is not available ask for Trisha, she is better but is no longer there full time. For bone fishing ask for the owner Ed Missick.

Been 5 or 6 times...lost count.Awesome island!Like others have said,small and quiet;just the way we like it.Also,yes,very expensive charters.As much as I wanted,I couldn't bring myself to dish out 2 grand for a day.
Da conch shack is good;Tiki hut,Baci,Black Eyed Jacks are all good.I would absolutely rent a boat.Great deal @ Ocean Club resort on the beach.(not Ocean Club West)It is a 16'+/- Wahoo with a 15HP or so.A lot of fun exploring/diving on your own. There is not much to worry about. He will give you a fairly good map and info.Very reasonable. Also,do yourself a favor and rent a car;cabs will kill ya!

Default Call Darian Bain I attached the link to his web site.

http://turksandcaicosbonefishing.com/

Darian Bain is a really nice guy, picks you up and drops you off at the hotel. Down to earth guy. Lives on the island, has his own flats boat. Not one of the commercial grinding mills. Give him a call, he took us out to the mangroves. Very Knowledgeable.
His phone number is 649-242-4327, email bainboy26@hotmail.com
As for the skiffs, there is a guy on Providencial that rents skiffs you can look him up on the internet. Charges by the half day plus fuel.

I highly recommend Beaches at Turks and Caicos.
