Pretty simple actually.
You hit the nail on the head. Yes, Andrew was bad. No, I wouldn't wish a storm like that (or any storm) on anyone. But, let's face it. Miami Kendall area had a lot of sh*t homes. Trailers. And, a lot of shoddy workmanship on the houses that were popping up in the 80's. Stick frames slapped together. The concrete boxes that were built "in the old days" for the most part made it through.

I live just north of all that, and I remember it too.

Damage is damage. Whether it's a cat5 in an area that's built to deal with hurricanes or a cat1 in an area that's not. It's still people's lives that are being impacted and in no way should be made light of.

SSF, I'm in no way telling you how to run your business, but maybe you should just chalk it up to having a bad day and apologize or something. If you truly didn't need the business you wouldn't pay for an ad here, said "low prices" or not. Nobody lowers their prices AND pays for an ad in a place they don't need any business from. In this economy business is business, and low gross is better than no gross.

The Mods need to remove him as a sponsor and not allow him to post. They can exercise their freedom of speech that way. Lets start a Mods removal petition and exercise our freedom of speech. We don't want him in THT!!!!!!!!!!

I am a little out of place up here but I am sorry to hear about the losses up north concerning both life and property. Now, I don't normally do this but I will feel better even though I completely understand arguing on the internet is like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest but:

Sudden Strike, You have got to be the dumbest son of a bitch ever that calls him self a boater or a fisherman. We are all here to be there for each other in some fashion whether it be advice on the Internet or a hand at the dock. Being from eastern, NC I just want to extend a huge fuck you since we have seen one or two storms here as well. Andrew sucked for you, Katrina sucked for the entire Gulf Coast, Floyd and countless others have tried to wipe eastern NC out, and now Irene has taken it's toll on the North East as well as knocking on my back door. While their storm might not have been as forceful as Andrew, I can assure you it was just as bad as Andrew, but the boys up north are not as geared up as we are. I will also guarantee you none of these guys were talking shit when Andrew hit. While my rant comes to an end, I can say you are a selfish douchbag and I can only hope some of these guys can return the favor by not buying anything from you and spreading the word. Also, I am down with removing him as a sponsor, I wouldn't buy shit from him anyways.

not a very enlightened post Chuck. I think you need to apologize.
Do you actually know him personally?
There's a bunch of us here that would pay for his name and address.

Those New Bedford pics are scary and that Sudden Strike dude is nuts! Not just in fishing but never saw an attitude like that from someone selling something anywhere....

Hell hath no fury like the joisy shore pizzed off.

Here are a couple I found from Point Judith. Must have been a bumpy day in the pond if they were seeing 4-6 footers in the breachway. The breachway is between the harbor ofrefuge and pj pond. The seawalls around the harbor of refuge are 8-12 feet high at high tide. They were likely being topped.

Salty Brian State Beach Floods

Hurricane Irene hits the south coast of Rhode Island with hurricane force winds, heavy rains and a storm surge which inundated Salty Brian State Beach and the parking lot near George's of Galilee early Sunday morning. The breachway between Galilee and Jerusalem, behind, had 4-6 ft. waves during the incoming high tide and the water contributed to flooding on Great Island, and the docks in and around the state piers. Andrew was good for that area. If not it would still be a dump and you would have no business...What a tool!

WOW........ didn't expect that from Sudden Strike, both in this thread and in the same one running in the SportFishing and Charters Forum.

It would be a shame 4 him to drive his sales in the ground over a statements but it appears he has blown the bridge with more than a few members already......
