Default resin

resin and gel ,fairing compound ,hull&deck, from the best polyester resins winter blend ADVANCED COATINGS by far is the best there is around the cape get glass material from comp1 and all poly material from mark at advanced coatings in mass buy a drum it is a lot cheaper than by the bucket , you can always sell the rest someone always needs a bucket of resin for something. believe me you look like you will be needing more than a few buckets . 23 seacraft looks like ? get some balsa for the hull sides it will be a tank when it is done makes the boat just solid for very little wght with a lite layup and dont forget the tuna door ha ha good luck

Totally off-topic, but...

I have that same Porter Cable saw, and it could be the heaviest damn saw I've ever picked up. Wouldn't you agree?

In my opinion, it has too much torque for sometimes-finesse work on glass. Too aggressive. I've owned Sawzalls my whole life and went out and bought a new one to replace that P-C. So much nicer...

Back on topic...

That is a sweet hull! She's gonna be a beaut when you're done.

yes!!! that Sawzall is to heavy but I'm a plumber and need a heavy duty saw the milwakee's didn't seem to last for me ripping at metal all the time ? I use it for demo most of the time but it is very smooth at low speeds.

Funny, I'm a plumber as well, but I gave it up after 15 years and went back to school for my degree. I did keep my Master's and my Journeyman's licenses though... they've come in handy from time to time.

Keep plumbin' and glassin, my man - she's gonna look sweet!

I'm not far from you on the Cape; I'd love to stop by and see the project sometime. I'm planning some glass work for my Stratos this spring.

Are you replacing your core sections with wood or composite?

Cape Island boats is the shop next to me, Fib Fab is down the street, MOST of the guys around here order from Composite one, the shipping (via common carrier) of ANY of these materials is what kills the price in my opinion. Comp one delivers in their own trucks. Get a solid list together and start calling around to the local spots or drive off cape for one BIG BIG order.
