No bashing they boat you left, let's not make this a my old boat sucked this boat is great

What you sold and what you bought
No more than 5 quick Bullet points one why you upgraded, we can hear your life story some other time.

24 Regulator To 31 Contender Fisharound

1) Needed a bigger boat to consistently run offshore.
2) Wanted new modern power and speed.
3) Room for my kid to sleep, wanted real head and big boat amenities.
4) Must have ¾ enclosure avoid wet rides in and out without having to put up wings.
5) 360 degree fishability.

I’ll jump in next

23 Hydrasport Seahorse cc to 32 Blackfin Combi

1) Go further offshore and get into canyon fishing.
2) Wanted cabin, ac, heat, ability to sleep on board, and real head for admiral
3) Good head sea ride and wanted protection from elements. No more wet rides.
4) a boat that could hold gear and store gear, due to having a car instead of truck
5) More fishable days, summers short enough

Tried downsizing from a 300 Grady Marlin to a 275 Freedom. Couldn't get used to smaller boat. Now back in a 326 Stamas Diesel. Cant see myself going back to outboards any time soon. Love the 2MPG on a 12.5k lb boat.

I went the opposite way. I wanted a boat easier to trailer than my 28 Hydra sport CC. I got me a classic 24 north coast and its a beast for a 24 footer. It rides just as good as Hydra sport.

That Henriques is such a fishing machine, fish boxes are amazing. If I ever went up to an inboard diesel the 38 & 44 Flybridge would be top on my list.

Cool boat very similar to the Intrepid 323. The inboard gives you a lot more room.

I downsized for the following reasons

1. Fuel Economy
2. Maintenance Costs

Last Boat - 2016 North Rip 30

Current Boat - 2017 Competition 25 with Rhodan

Hi Rex!! All is good, hope you're great too, good to see your still fishing. Yes, the boat will be at Montauk, been out there since 2013.

Upgraded from a 1997 Marlin 350sf to a 2006 38 Donzi ZSF.

Got good money for my Marlin
Got the Donzi for a reasonable price.
1 Loved the Size and the Comforts of the Donzi over the more fishing based Marlin
2 Both run the same speeds. Donzi thirstier
3 I have the best of both worlds of a center console that can fish if I want and I can stay in a few days if I want to.
4 Loved the Marlin, but haven't missed it a day since I got the Donzi.

Thanks! Yes the inboard really adds a lot of space and gives you the full dive platform which I love.
