I hit them 7 miles south of the point a few weeks back. Not far from Cartwright.

Outter butterfish to the ranger. Look for pods of dolphins and whales. Get there for first light.

Ya it’s still going on and they still like jigs, bait too. Keep it all close to the bottom

Saturday looks a little breezy, But certainly doable. Go get em.. ( Windy app 20 miles south of point says 15-20 ish knts) I recently downloaded this app so I don;t know how accurate it is.

The chlorophyll edge is at the horns so that should be a very good area as well

I am heading out Sunday somewhere between the horns and the ranger. Always drawn to trolling but bringing chunk and jig gear as well.

Trolled everywhere from coxes, the dump, the Suffolk, to butterfish. Covered some ground today. Bait was everywhere. Couple knock downs but only albies. Tough day

Did you mark anything? Jig bite has been where it’s at.

Didn’t mark anything at all, worked a few small temps breaks, and not a single whale, area was loaded a week ago. There’s plenty of bait in the area, but nothing else , seemed strange

We fished this area today all by ourselves. Little signs of life on the surface, with ust a few birds. Barley got the 2nd line out and we hooked up.
Went 5/5 on small bft (25"-40").
