Default N. Shore MA/NH Boat Beaching Beaches

Can anyone recommend where you can beach a boat to hang out for a few hours? Looking for N. Shore MA or NH. I know Plumb Island is a no no!

The southern end of PI (state owned) is fine and gets crowded on weekends.

I thought the entire island was off limits? Are you referring to the Emerson Rocks area, or the southern most tip?

I've parked off the southern tip of Crane, beached on the back-side of Crane (before the sand bar in the Essex forming). I haven't been this year, but in years past this area was always crowded.

follow the river in with sandy point on your starboard and cranes on your port. proceed to the right towards the large mooring field at Ipswich bay yacht club. just beyond that are endless sand bars to hang out at. same sort of thing in Essex but a little trickier if your not local. plenty of spots here. basically back side of plum island. check it out on Google earth. beware green heads are getting active. water temps back here are mid 70s
