Default 2020 slip - 30+ CC in Scituate/Marshfield

I'm trying to pull the trigger on upgrading to a 30+ center console this year. I currently trailer a 22 Whaler which has treated me very well, but will need to slip the bigger boat. I'm trying to price out what I can expect to pay for annual slip costs, haul out, and winter storage. I enjoy doing normal maintenance and spring commissioning myself, but I think some marinas restrict your ability to do that.

Does anyone have recommendations on where/how I can get a slip for this size boat in on the south shore and a rough idea on prices for summer, winter storage and haul in/out? My preference is Scituate harbor (like everyone else) and I know that will come at a premium. I'm certainly open to anything from Hingham to Brant Rock if there is better availability and pricing. Any issues with slip availability?

I just wrote my check for the balance in Scituate. Given current events, there may some not putting boats in this year. Call around. I am at Scituate Harbor Marina, been there 15 years and love it. Unless you go municipal slip, suspect you will be $150-$205/ft, but maybe a deal is to be had. Hauling, for a center console 30 or so ft, get a trailer which gives you a lot of flexibility in the event of maintenance, storms and storage. Even if you do not have a truck to move it, it offers options. Bulman's at King's Landing or Scituate Boatworks good for storage. Congrats if you get the bigger boat and enjoy the season.

Finding a winter storage place that lets you do your own work is key.

You might try Scituate Maritime Center across the harbor from Scituate Harbor Marina. Next to SBW. I would try all the marinas in Scituate as some may back out this year. Rohts in the N River also worth a try. Herring Cove Marina on the driftway may have room, but low tide is an issue.

Good luck with finding a reasonable slip. Our club has a 2 to 3 year waiting list. Same with winter storage our yard had 40+ people on the waiting list last year. Being only 30' transport it home.

Thanks everyone. I think I just need to give them all a call and see what is available. I appreciate the feedback.

Brewers Green Harbor or Taylor Marine Green Harbor could be options. Both just shy of $200/ft I'm guessing.

I can give you exact costs for my 31cc, the maritime center is part of the town marina and it took me 14 years to get a slip in the town marina for a 31. The private marinas that you would have to try and get into would be mill wharf, Scituate harbor marina (Dobber’s), or bulman. You could also try Roht in the north river. The first 3 are 205 per ft, I was at Dobber’s for 11yrs and it’s a great group but the town marina is 100 a foot and I couldn’t pass that up.

slip fee: 6450 + 125 for town waterway fee
haul in/spring commission: 1800
haul out/winterization/wrap: 2400

i don’t have winter storage cost I keep it on my property but I would guess another 750 for that
